Last year, Shelton's Varsity Spirit All-Americans had to decline their invitation to perform internationally because the trip was simply too expensive. For the second year in a row, Shelton High School cheerleaders have earned one of the highest honors in the sport. This year, they have achieved something truly extraordinary! Seven Shelton High School cheerleaders have been selected as Varsity Spirit All-Americans and invited to perform in the 2026 London New Year's Day Parade. This prestigious honor is awarded to only the top 12% of athletes attending Varsity Spirit summer camps across the country. Selection is based not only on exceptional cheerleading ability, but also leadership, character, and sportsmanship. Last year, three Shelton cheerleaders earned this incredible distinction. While qualifying as All-Americans was a tremendous accomplishment, the cost of the trip placed the opportunity out of reach, and none were able to attend. This year, seven Shelton cheerleaders have earned the invitation, more than doubling last year's number and marking an unprecedented achievement for our program. We are determined to make sure this remarkable accomplishment becomes a story of opportunity, not another missed chance. The cost to participate is $4,725 per athlete, and because all participants must travel with an adult chaperone, we are also raising funds to help cover the cost of sending their coach. Together, we need to raise more than $37,000 to give these deserving athletes the opportunity they have worked so hard to earn. They will perform alongside elite cheerleaders from across the nation in one of the world's most celebrated New Year's Day traditions while building confidence, lifelong friendships, and unforgettable memories.
